American is running a nice double miles promotion from New York – JFK to four cities in the Caribbean for travel September 29, 2011, and November 15, 2011.
You must be on the non-stop flights in order to qualify for the miles. Here’s how many extra miles you will receive with this promotion.
- JFK – Santiago, Dominican Republic: 2,949 Miles
- JFK – Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic: 3,098 Miles
- JFK – Port-au-Prince, Haiti: 3,044 Miles
- JFK – San Juan, Puerto Rico: 3,195 Miles
This promotion is NOT only for NYC city residents — let say you are flying American from Boston to San Juan. If you pick flight that connects in JFK instead of Miami, you will qualify for the bonus miles!
You must be register before your flight to receive the bonus miles. With the bonus miles, you would receive 1/5th the miles necessary for a domestic roundtrip award ticket. If you have an upcoming trip to these destinations, definitely sign up for the promotion.
