We’ve written a few times about airline shopping portals (check here and here) and how you can get easy miles with an extra click for most of your online purchases. If you have miles that are about to expire with American, United or US Airways, here’s an easy way to extend the expiration period thanks to Apple’s iTunes.
To receive miles to extend mileage expiration, buy one song, most which cost $1. Before you buy, go to the iTunes store via the airline’s shopping portals:
- American Airlines – https://www.aadvantageeshopping.com/ – AA gives 3 miles per $1 spend
- United Airlines – https://www.mileageplusshopping.com/ — United gives 2 miles per $1 spend
- US Airways – http://usairways.skymall.com/ – US Airways gives 2 miles per $1 spend
If you don’t need to extend your mileage expiration, you should still use the links above before going to iTunes to get extra miles for your iTunes purchases.
