One of our favorite hotel discounts definitely is the Radisson friends and family discount rate. The discount in 2011 was $80 in the US/Asia/South America and 80 Euros or Pounds in Europe per night. We used it extensively this year especially in Europe where hotel rates are outrageous. The rate is especially good because it usually includes free internet and breakfast, which can be significant savings specially in Europe.

Radisson has extended the program for 2012 and it can be booked via this link: http://www.radisson.com/familyandfriends. Base on a quick check of the rates at a few hotels — the price has not change. The one change compared to last year’s program is that at checkin they might ask for an employee name and the location of the employee’s hotel. So make a friend with a Radisson employee if you want to use this rate.

Radisson is part of the Carlson group which owns the Radisson chain (Radisson, Country Inn, Park Inn, Park Plaza), TGI Friday restaurants and Carlson Wagonlit travel.
