United – $526: Los Angeles – Bangkok, Thailand. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

A good sale to Bangkok.

Mainland Chinese Airlines have this for a little cheaper, but we would pay extra to avoid the hassle of transiting in China. It is super easy to transit in Japan.

Here are some practical travel tips to Bangkok, Thailand and another take on Bangkok.

    What do you mean it is easier to transit in Japan than China? Why is it hard to transit in Shanghai? Please elaborate.

    @Kristy –

    Transiting in China in general requires:
    1/ clear immigration and customs
    2/ reclaim luggage and recheck
    3/ go thru security and exit immigration (some airlines have an int’l to int’l process that might skip this)

    it can be time consuming as lines are usually long.

    in contrast, other airports in Asia like Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul or Taipei.
    1/ you land, go thru transit security (no immigration)
    2/ go thru security (no immigration or customs)
    3/ you are good to go and your luggage is tagged thru.
