Iberia is launching a new low cost carrier called “Level” from Los Angeles and Oakland, California to Barcelona. Service will be as follows:
- Los Angeles – 2x a week on Thursday and Sunday
- Oakland – 3x a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday
Service starts on June 1st from Los Angeles and June 2nd from Oakland.
Update 3/17/2017 @ 3:00PM Eastern:
- Los Angeles availability for Summer is gone. Availability from September onward
- Oakland. June and September onward
These fares will earn some Avios with British Airways and Iberia. So definitely signup for it. Don’t expect much, they will charge you for everything (Iberia previously already charged for seat assignments.)
Seat will be a bit tight at 30″ pitch but you do get comfortable seating at 2x4x2 seating.
Fare Availability:
- Valid for travel from June onward
- Please note that while this fare is valid at time of posting, if this post is more than two days old, the fare is likely gone.

When I try to search it on Iberia it is erring out
I’m looking at OAK -> BCN for June and the prices now all look to be around $800 (with some exceptions — there’s a 3 day trip that costs ~$550)
Oh, nvm — it looks like I see cheaper fares if I search on the Level website.
I booked this flight from LA to BCN for 300 and leave next week. I am curious if they are strict about the size limit of the carry-on they allow you to bring? We will also be taking a hopper flight on Ryan Air which has even stricter size limits. Is it worth it to check a bag or do you think an average sized carry-on will be acceptable?
@Nina – up to 10 kilos / 22lbs. so probably not a big bag.
