    I looked up a round trip DFW-KUL-DFW flight using the routing codes above and then noticed that the fare rules allow for a stopover at both gateways and that this flight actually goes DFW-HKG-KUL-NRT-DFW so I wanted to add stopovers in HKG and NRT. I’ve been able to get the itinerary to add in the HKG stopover for the stated $100 (plus fees) but when I try to add my selected dates for the NRT stopover it won’t allow me to add it at all even though I’ve confirmed that there is a flight on that day.
    I’d like my flight to be:
    DFW -> HKG Feb 13
    HKG -> KUL Feb 19
    KUL -> NRT Mar 19
    NRT -> DFW Mar 23
    Is there a way to get it to work with these dates? I’m new to stopovers and can’t figure out why if there is a flight on the 19th with the same flight number as the flight on Mar 22 why they wouldn’t let me book the Mar 19 flight. I’d be grateful for any help/advice.

    @gdgarner – while the fare rules allow it, there might not be inventory left for stopover even if the connection is available. try a different date around the 19th to see if NRT is available, if not, probably only HKG has inventory for a stopover despite what the fare rule might say.

    K, I tried tons of dates before and after the 19th, I’m super bummed. I was really hoping I could lock in that stopover 🙁
