Earlier this morning, we retweeted Gary Leff’s tip that there is a $10 off Uber promo code that works for even existing users.

We applied the code and it loaded. However, the iDevice users on the team did a bit of digging around Slickdeals and found that the promo code will only be credited after a ride if Android Pay is used as the payment method. Our apologies to iDevice users.

For Android users, this is how you get $10 off your next ride.

• Download AndroidPay from the Play Store if you don’t have it. Link a credit card.
• Open the Uber App
• Enter “ANDROIDPAY” promo code on the Promotions tab

If you never used Uber before, you should get an referral from one of your friends who uses Uber – you will get a credit for up to $25 for signing up as will your friend.

The promo code is good for a ride until May 31st and is good for UberBlack, UberSELECT, UberX and UberPOOL rides. To use the promo code, when requesting the ride, select Android Pay as the payment method. If you setup Android Pay correctly, it will show up as a payment option.
