Paris for under $600! We thought it was a good deal worth posting even if it doesn’t meet our 6 cents per mile criterion. You will need to overnight in Oslo on the return.
(For those who actually look at the ITA fare construction — this is a Newark – Oslo fare that we are making the Paris as the stopover point for basically the entire duration of the trip. The regular United nonstop fare between Newark and Paris is $1,130. By having an overnight in Oslo on the return, you are basically saving over $530 on the airfare)

How can I take advantage of a layover on this deal? Thanks so much for this!!
@Tom – stopovers is a really trial and error process and takes a lot of time to figure out. this fare is actually a newark – oslo fare and we have already shown how to go to paris instead. please read our stopover guide linked in the article for more info on how to find and ticket one.
Hi! I live in DC and farelocked this on United. I can take the Amtrak to EWR for $108 RT. Once that’s factored in, do you think this is really a good deal for someone who doesn’t live in or around Newark? Or should I keep searching in the hope of miraculously finding a United flight (sorry, don’t care about other carriers unless I can earn 100% UA miles) from IAD under $750?
@Haley – we haven’t seen UA price IAD – CDG for under $800 in a very long time.
Okie dokes. Thank you! 🙂
I’m having trouble booking this
@Shaina – did you follow the instructions for booking via Hipmunk?
Yes I did but it didnt connect me to United.com and the price shows 1510 per person 🙁
@Shaina – what are your dates?
Nov 14-nov 22nd
Or 7th- 15th whichever one, I want to be back on time for thanksgiving 🙂
@Shaina – please follow our “how to search for availability” section of the post. there’s no availability for your particular dates. there is availability for november 14th – 20th. you can’t just skip to the how to buy search section without searching for availability first.
