Delta – From $553 – $756: US – Moscow / St. Petersburg, Russia. Roundtrip, including all Taxes

Delta and its partners KLM / Air France / Alitalia are putting Russia on sale from pretty much every city in the US for Fall and Winter travel. Here’s what we found from our coverage cities. Prices are for Fall travel. Winter travel is slightly less — for example, from New York to St. Petersburg, its $606 in the Fall, but $556 in the Winter.

  • Fall: Valid for travel on the outbound from August 24th – October 25th for Sunday through Wednesday departures from the United States and Monday through Thursday departures to the United States. Must purchase by June 18th
  • Winter: Valid for travel on the outbound from October 26th – December 11th or December 24th – March 19th, 2015 for Sunday through Wednesday departures from the United States and Monday through Thursday departures to the United States. Must purchase by June 18th

  • LAX – JFK (New York) – SVO (Moscow) – JFK- LAX. Depending on routing, some segments will be operated by KLM or Air France or Alitalia under their own flight numbers or Delta flight numbers.

Delta will be revenue based mileage earning starting January 1st, 2015. Miles will be earn base on elite qualifying dollars multiple by 5 as base level earning and up to 13 for Diamond level members who purchase with a Delta co-branded American Express credit card. We will be showing the 2015 base mileage earning for all Delta fares going forward to show how negative the changes are for a majority of Delta flyers.

  • 2014: 14,266 miles or 4.9 cents per mile.
  • 2015: 2,964 miles or a difference of 11,302 miles.
